The Westin Dublin invites you to tumble down the rabbit hole and enjoy your own private Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea – a most unusual way to spend an afternoon. Hosted in the newly refurbished suites overlooking some of Dublin’s most famous landmarks, The Westin Dublin is the perfect venue to celebrate a bridal shower, birthday party, or indeed, a Wonderland-style ‘unbirthday party’. Guests will be enchanted by the customary five star service, accompanied by host of eccentric delights.
To celebrate the launch of the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, The Westin has appointed Irish milliner Laura Kinsella as its In-House Milliner, and commissioned her to design an exclusive Alice In Wonderland-inspired piece. Laura’s bespoke creation will go on display in
the foyer of The Westin from the end of May.
At the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, an eclectic selection of treats are served on a unique set of hand-made crockery. Magically crafted, guests will enjoy savoury nibbles including quail’s egg and tarragon mayonnaise in a brioche roll, and crispy basil baskets with marinated goat’s curd, drizzled in balsamic and pesto. The sweet treats are equally marvellous and exotic; try the zesty green tea cone with lemon yuzu cream, the indulgent caramel mousse-filled chocolate cup, or the moreish beetroot waffles. Classic tea party offerings such as fruit scones, preserves and creams are then served alongside decadent red velvet cake and washed down with a warm cup of tea. As the Mad Hatter himself would say, “You must have a cup of tea!”
Available now, the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea caters for private groups of at least 18 people and is priced at €49.50 per person. For more information on The Westin Dublin, please visit thewestindublin.com of you’ll find them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
